But after searching through our record books and more specifically the current world record speed set by the SSC Ultimate Aero that stands at 255.83mph which translates to 411.71km/h meaning this claim can be thrown out the window. The GT9 is loosely based on the Porsche 911 GT3 but that is about as far as the similarities go as it is shares just 2% of its components. The GT9 is both lower and longer and you will find the engine in the middle of the car rather than at the rear for better weight distribution.
Power comes courtesy of a quite insane 987bhp 4 litre flat six twin turbo engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Despite the heavy power behind this machine, the statistics aren't quite as impressive with 0-60mph standing at 4.2 seconds – 1.7 seconds slower than the veyron.
